Meet Allison, Owner of Backyard SLP

  • Allison is a pediatric speech and language pathologist with over 20 years experience in early intervention, public schools, and hospitals.  

  • Allison received an undergraduate degree in educational psychology (magna cum laude) from the University of Georgia and a master's degree in speech language pathology (summa cum laude) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

  • Allison is a certified member of ASHA (American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and licensed through the state of Massachusetts.  Allison is a member of  ASHA's Special Interest Group:  Language, Learning, and Education.

  • Using evidence based practices, Allison provides evaluations and therapy in the following areas:  early language development, receptive and expressive language, speech sound disorders, literacy, social skills, and executive functioning.

At Backyard SLP, our mission is to provide comprehensive high quality speech and language evaluations and researched based, personalized therapy services. We want to empower children to be active and confident communicators in their environments.
